International seminar on nuclear safety
Peaceful uses of nuclear energy must be developed with sufficient consideration for safety, as well as public confidence and understanding.
In order to disseminate Japan's nuclear safety technologies to other countries and to exchange information, RADA has been organizing the following 5 international seminars on nuclear safety for nuclear engineers, researchers and administrators of Asian countries.
・Operation and Maintenance of Nuclear Facilities Course
・Safety Analysis Course
・Management/Administration Course
・Radiation Applications Course
・Dissemination of Nuclear Knowledge Course
Each course of about 2 weeks includes lectures, discussions and facility visits. The courses have received high acclaim from participants.
This seminar is commissioned by the MEXT.

Support for Asia-Pacific nuclear technology cooperation
RADA has been supporting JAERI by dispatching lecturers, etc. to facilitate the following human resources development programs, commissioned by MEXT, mainly for Asian countries.
・Technical training in radiation and nuclear energy at foreign institutions, facilitated by Japanese lecturers
・Instructor training at JAERI for nuclear specialists expected to form the core personnel for human resources development in their countries
・Safeguard training regarding the NPT(non-proliferation treaty), implemented for administrators and engineers invited from foreign countries, including the former Soviet Union
